Substitute Teachers

Birches School is an independent PreK-8 school located in Lincoln, MA. Our mission is to nurture students’ innate curiosity and creativity in harmony with the natural world. Job Summary: Substitute teachers cover faculty classroom absences as needed. Such absences may require one or several days or occasional longer-term coverage. Scheduling is based on substitute availability and may be requested the night before or early morning of the hiring day. Ideal candidates have previous teaching or substitute teaching experience and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students, preferably in a school setting

• Bachelors degree

• Professional demeanor and strong communication skills

• Flexible schedule
