Serena began her professional career in New York City over thirty years ago, teaching elementary and middle school-aged children. After a move to the Boston area, she continued her work in education as a teacher and administrator at Shady Hill School in Cambridge. Most recently, Serena served as Head of School at Tower School in Marblehead. A graduate of Brown University, Serena received a Master’s degree from Bank Street College of Education and is a certified mindfulness teacher. When not immersed in learning and nature at Birches, she can be found dabbling in various hobbies and enjoying time with her family and furry friend, Sally.
