ELIZA MORSE
AFTERSCHOOL TEACHER
Eliza joined the Birches team as a substitute Afterschool Teacher and quickly jumped at the opportunity to become part of the community full-time in the Fall of 2024. She has a background in Educational Psychology, with a focus on Family and Human Development. In college she worked as a summer school teacher in various Title I schools, aiming to close the educational achievement gap and support students through social-emotional learning. From there, she worked at Arizonan's For Children as a Visitation Supervisor, assisting the court and foster care systems to provide a safe environment for families to restore the parent-child relationship. She was responsible for the evaluation of a parent's successful incorporation of parenting skills gained through State provided counseling and classes, determining parental suitability, and aiding in the possibility of family reunification. In her free time, you can find her crocheting, reading, doing yoga, or learning a new craft. Eliza has a lifelong passion for education, children, and families and she is excited to bring her experience to the Birches community!
